London Legal Walk 2015

Only one person needs to book in their team at the registration desks in Carey Street. They hand in the booking sheet (download pdf here). Your team organiser got an email about this a week or so before the walk) and receive copies of the map for your walkers (which also has info about the photo competition etc. on it as well).

If your team leaves without you, you can book in before or after them. It’s not a problem, just come and collect your map. Registration desks open at 5.00pm and close at 6.30pm.

Please make sure you pick up some copies on the day from the registration desks! In advance, you can look at and download it from here

Who the London Legal Support Trust Are

Access to justice should be equally available to everyone, regardless of their financial situation. This principle is at the cornerstone of the legal justice system in England and Wales. In practice it is not the case.

Advice Agencies and Citizens Advice Bureaux work very hard to try to ensure that vulnerable people do have a way of accessing justice through a mixture of “Legal Aid” (publically-funded work), funding from local authorities, charitable donations, and by using pro bono volunteers.

Receiving the legal advice they need makes a huge difference to these people’s lives, reducing debt, poverty and homelessness, and combating discrimination and injustice. The London Legal Support Trust works to support law centres and legal advice agencies in London and the South East by providing them with grant funding alongside other forms of support. We do this by holding large fundraising events, most notably the London Legal walk, and then delivering the funds raised to the agencies where they are most needed through grant rounds. We offer our knowledge and experience of the sector to help the agencies to become more sustainable and help to partner them with law firms and chambers who want to help them ensure that the law is fair.

We are part of a network of seven Legal Support Trusts across England and in Wales working with the Access to Justice Foundation to support pro bono and advice agencies, ensuring funds can be distributed where needed most throughout England and Wales. To find out more please visit
